Know full details about tickets, expecially regarding reporting time for your first flight, validity, taxes, penalty for date change

- EMIGRATION CLEARANCE
- If you are a graduate / diploma holder / IT assessee or 60 yrs and above, no emigration clearance is required for travel to any country.
- If travelling to USA, Canada, Europe, Australia, New Zealand or Japan, no emigration clearance is required for anyone.
- If you do not come under any category shown in "a" or travelling to anyother country not mentioned in "b", emigration clearance is definitely required and to be obtained before departure.
- PHOTOCOPIES OF DOCUMENTS
Take 3 copies of documents (Passport and Ticket). Leave one at home, keep one in check-in baggage and another in hand baggage.

- PACKING
Pack 4 No. photographs, jewels & valuables, currency, certificates, medicines, extra set of spectacles / contact lenses etc. in Cabin Baggage.
- BAGGAGE LABELLINGS
Print full address with phone number affix, one on the outer side and one on the inner side of your baggage. Better, tie a piece of multi-coloured ribbon on baggage handles for easy identification.
- FOREIGN EXCHANGE
You are eligible to carry up to USD 10000 and it is worthwhile carrying international credit card. Carry another Rs.5000 for contingency.
- MEDICAL INSURANCE
Buy medical insurance covering full period of your journey. It is always economical to buy medical insurance in India than overseas.
- ON THE DAY OF TRAVEL - AT AIRPORT
- REPORTING TIME
3 hrs. before departure
- ENTER AIRPORT
Enter Airport with baggages in a trolley to X-ray machine. After scanning of check-in baggages, move on to airline check-in counter. After checking your passport and ticket, the airline staff will tag your check-in baggage to final destination and will handover passport, tickets, boarding card and Emigration Form. Fill up Emigration form.
- EMIGRATION
Proceed to Emigration counter, produce your passport, ticket and filled-up Emigration form. The officer will stamp 'departure' seal in your passport and return with ticket.
- DEPARTURE LOUNGE
Then move on to Customs counter, pass through, personal security and wait in Departure Lounge till flight announcement.
- BOARD FLIGHT
After flight announcement, proceed to aircraft and occupy your seat.
- AT TRANSIT POINT
- TRANSFER DESK
After exiting from your first flight, proceed to transfer desk to collect your new boarding card for onward flight. Note down Terminal and Gate Number.
- DEPARTURE GATE
Depending on time available, relax yourself before proceeding to Departure Gate, at least 30 minutes in advance.
- BAGGAGE TRANSFER
Don't worry about your check-in baggage, they will be automatically transferred to connecting flight.
- FLIGHT DELAY / MISCONNECTION
In case of any flight delay or misconnection, contact Transfer desk for needful.
- IMMIGRATION FORM
When the flight is nearing final destination, the airline staff will give Immigration form. Read it carefully, fill up on and keep it ready.
- AT FINAL DESTINATION - AIRPORT
- IMMIGRATION
Once you exit from flight, proceed to Immigration counter. The officer will check your passport, Visa and Form and stamp your passport and return with a stub of Immigration form.
- BAGGAGE CLAIM
After Immigration, note down the Belt Number from Baggage Claim Board, collect you baggages and proceed to Customs Area (A certaub airports, you may have to pay up to USD 2 for trolley. So keep loose coins or smaller denomination notes ready)
- ARRIVAL HALL
Generally you will not have any problem at Customs Desk. After Customs, proceed to Arrival Hall to meet waiting relatives. Or proceed to relevant terminal and Airline check-in counter to catch next flight to your final destination.
